Every Child Deserves The Opportunity To Achieve Their Full Potential

WINGS provides individualised paediatric physiotherapy for infants, toddlers, children, teenagers, and young adults with a wide variety of developmental and motor concerns. By blending Intensive Model of Therapy (IMOT) with technologies such as robotic-assisted gait training, we can help children with special needs and mobility issues strengthen their movement, build confidence, and embrace independence.

Since 2018, more than 6,000 babies, children, and young adults have walked through our doors.

What Is Paediatric Physiotherapy and How It Can Help Children

Paediatric physiotherapy (also known as pediatric physical therapy) is about giving children the tools they need to move, play, and live more independently. While adult physiotherapy often focuses on recovering from injuries, physiotherapy for children is designed to build strong foundations in motor development, mobility, and coordination that will support a child for life.

At its heart, paediatric physiotherapy looks at where a child is today and helps them take meaningful steps forward. Progress may mean learning to roll over, taking a first step, improving posture, or building the stamina to join friends in a playground game. For some, it’s about regaining mobility after setbacks; for others, it’s about pushing past limits they were once told were unreachable.

Children who undergo kids physical therapy at the right frequency and intensity may experience:

  • Improved motor development: Achieving milestones such as sitting, crawling, standing, walking, and eventually running with confidence.
  • Better strength and balance: Improving posture, coordination, and stability while reducing the risk of falls and injuries.
  • Increased independence: Gaining the confidence and motor skills to accomplish everyday tasks, from climbing stairs to playing with friends.
  • Enhanced confidence: Embracing a positive outlook, good self-esteem and encouraging resilience through every new skill learned.

These potential gains underscore the importance of choosing the best paediatric physio centre for your child’s specific needs. A combination of expertise, innovation, and consistency can help create an environment where children can gain the confidence, independence, and development to progress.

Advanced Approaches and Therapy Models We Offer

At WINGS Therapy & Learning Center, we believe every child deserves access to the very best in physiotherapy for children. That’s why we offer programmes and exercises that can help accelerate development and build lasting independence. Each technique is carefully chosen to meet the needs of infants, children, teenagers, and young adults, ensuring our paediatric physio programmes can deliver lasting results.

Below are the key approaches available at WINGS:

Instead of weekly sessions stretched over months, IMOT therapy compresses progress into 2–4 hour daily sessions, five days a week, over 3-week to 3-month blocks. This rhythm can provide the repetition, intensity, and structure children need to unlock their potential.

Possible Outcomes of IMOT:

  • May produce quicker results than traditional physiotherapy.
  • Builds strength, stamina, and mobility through repetition and intensity.
    • Encourages faster achievement of developmental milestones.

Intensive Model of Therapy

Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) uses rapid, repetitive movement sequences to encourage motor responses. Through structured, repetitive movements, children are challenged to respond quickly, improving motor control and developing confidence in their abilities.

Possible Outcomes of DMI:

  • Stimulates the brain and nervous system for improved coordination.
  • Helps children achieve motor milestones such as sitting, crawling, or standing.
  • Supports postural control and balance development.

Dynamic Movement Intervention

Autism Fitness is an exercise programme designed specifically for autistic and neurodivergent children. At WINGS in Singapore, our therapists are trained under Eric Chessen’s Autism Fitness® curriculum, using strength, stability and play-based drills to build real-life skills. Sessions are structured and predictable, with activities tailored to each child’s sensory needs so they can work just beyond their current ability while still feeling safe and supported. Through repeated, meaningful movement tasks, our Autism Fitness programme helps children move better, feel calmer, and participate more confidently at home, in school and in the community.

Possible Outcomes of Autism Fitness:

  • Improves balance, coordination and overall motor skills.
  • Supports self-regulation, attention and ability to follow instructions.
  • Builds confidence, independence and readiness for PE, sports and everyday play.

Autism Fitness

Our robotic gait training programme with Trexo Robotics gives children the opportunity to practise walking patterns using robotic exoskeleton technology. Using a robotic exoskeleton, children practise walking patterns, allowing for hundreds of steps in a single session, something not always possible through manual practice alone.

Possible Outcomes of Trexo Robotics:

  • Builds endurance, muscle strength, and coordination.
  • Allows safe, repetitive walking practice with real-time feedback.
  • Motivates children by making walking an engaging and empowering experience.

Robotic-Assisted Gait Training

Known globally as suit therapy, the TheraSuit® and NeuroSuit™ programmes use specialised suits with elastic bands to provide external alignment and resistance. The suit uses elastic bands to mimic the body’s own muscular structure with the aim of helping children move with greater control and stability.

Possible Outcomes of Suit Therapy:

  • Corrects posture and promotes muscle strengthening.
  • Encourages more natural movement patterns.
  • Supports children in achieving greater independence during daily activities.

TheraSuit® and NeuroSuit™ Therapy

At WINGS, these programmes are not just exercises, they are intended to be tools that help children break barriers, build confidence, and discover what they are truly capable of. By combining internationally recognised methods with compassionate care, we aim to be one of the most comprehensive paediatric physio centres in Singapore.

Physiotherapy for Infants, Children, and Teenagers

At WINGS Therapy & Learning Center, we believe that every stage of a child’s development deserves the right support. That’s why our programmes in paediatric physiotherapy for children are developed to suit different age groups, ensuring infants, children, and teenagers each receive guidance suited to their unique milestones and challenges.

Parents searching for trusted paediatric physio in Singapore will find that our approach blends expertise, compassion, and aims for progress.

Physiotherapy for Babies

Early development lays the foundation for everything that follows. Through physiotherapy for babies, we aim to support infants in achieving essential milestones such as rolling, sitting, crawling, and eventually standing. For little ones born prematurely or showing delays in early motor skills, targeted exercises can help strengthen their bodies and encourage steady progress.

Physiotherapy for Children

As children grow, movement becomes their gateway to learning, play, and independence. Our early intervention programmes focus on possibly improving balance, posture, coordination, and confidence in everyday tasks like climbing stairs, running, or joining friends in play. These sessions may not only build strength but also encourage children to take part in school and social activities with greater ease.

Physiotherapy for Teenagers

Adolescence brings new goals and responsibilities. Our physiotherapy for teenagers is designed to help them refine strength, endurance, and functional mobility. Whether the aim is to participate in sports, gain independence in daily routines, or prepare for adulthood, our structured programmes aim to ensure teenagers continue to progress and thrive.

From the first roll of a baby to a teenager’s step toward independence, WINGS delivers paediatric physiotherapy in Singapore with the intention to empower children and young adults.

While traditional therapy centers usually do sessions about 1 or 2 times a week, or a couple of times per month, WINGS follows the Intensive Model of Therapy with daily sessions 5-6 days a week, 1-4 hours per day, compressing possible progress into 3-week or 3-month programmes, which sometimes delivers faster, more measurable results.
